I created my blog around one simple idea: using new media to create a conversation about leadership challenges in Asia.  Asia is such a rich, diverse, and fascinating place.  But perhaps more importantly, so many of the world’s leading issues either come out of or find their way back to Asia…be it economic, social, or political issues.  Asia currently acts as the world’s economic engine.  Asia is home to two-thirds of the world’s poor and has suffered through crises such as SARS, Bird flu, and the tsunami.  Asia is home to some of the most fascinating people and cultures I have ever encountered.  Asia has many emerging economies that must move from centralized to market systems while also overcoming graft.  And finally, Asia is also home to many successful businesses that would like to become regional if not global players…and now must confront the challenges associated with this growth.  The reasons for discussing Asian leadership are many, and I invite you to please join this conversation, subscribe to the RSS feed, and take part in this important and timely conversation.
